The top of this farm table from late 18th century is constructed from one heavy single elm plank, 2.5" thick. Solid construction, naturally aged wood showing age proper patinas, dents, knots, lines, spots, and wear and tears. The restoration to this antique table from countryside of Hebei Province is kept to minimum intentionally. The straight legs are mitered to the top. A fine example of traditional Chinese joinery: every piece of wood is calculated to interlock in a seamless way to provide structural strength and enhances the beauty of the design. This over 8 feet long altar table with its original brown color, beautiful aged top will make an astonishing Asian console table in a large living room, dining room, hall way or entryway.
