This piece utilizes soft, muted colors for the background mountains contrasting with textured impressionistic brushwork in the foreground foliage. Beautiful work that is sized to be part of a collage or an added pop of color in a small space. I love the scene and beautiful frame. The frame appears to be from the mid 1900's; the painting could possibly be from the early 1900's. Tempting, but the painting has not been examined out of its frame.
