A wonderful fused and carved black glass figurative art glass sculpture mounted on an iron stand/base. The bottom of the stand reads Sam Pilchuck Studios S??????. We’re not really familiar with the Pilchuck studios other than a quick google search. The piece is wonderful. It is likely from the 1970s-80s I would guess. We do not believe it is an edition but rather a one off sculpture.
The sculpture is in good overall condition although where the iron rod is inserted into the sculpture there is some roughness and minor glass flinging or chipping. It is pictured.
