Elegant circa 1960s Shōwa Era 4-panel painted Japanese Byobu (folding screen) depicts a peaceful Mountain Landscape with Pine Trees. Signed and sealed by artist. Silk on the background changes color depending on light from cocoa/taupe to bronze/goldenrod. Gouache, watercolor and ink on silk over paper. Silk border. Lacquered black wood frame with engraved copper corners, plaques and medallions, showing some age patina. Paper on back. Japan, Shōwa Era, circa 1960s. Very Good condition - no damage to the painting, some age wear overall, minor staining to the painting, some staining to the silk border (image #11), few repairs on paper back, strong hinges, clean, sturdy.
