This antique settee was re-upholstered in
Lee Jofa Claremont floral damask chenille upholstery fabric in a rose/beige, and it
is featuring a classic acanthus motif. T traditional floral damask or brocade in keeping with the style and period it was created.. The frame and floral upholstery with a flowing, organic, and deeply contoured silhouette is truly a work of art. The distressed frame is cream-painted and gilded color and blends perfectly with the cream and rose colored fabric. The lower apron beneath the seat cushion curves inward slightly at the center pier and arcs outward toward the sides. The six supporting legs feature an S-curve design, tapering downward to terminating scrolled feet. This piece is in excellent condition for its age. it was reupholstered approx 10 years ago, and was rarely used It would make a fine selection for any collector or appreciator of antique furniture. The pillows work perfectly with the piece, but they will be listed seperately. They are not included.
