This large glazed earthenware bowl was once used for kneading and proofing bread dough. A rustic piece with a rich and authentic history, it could become a decorative piece, perhaps in a bohemian or wabi-sabi style, a large catchall, or it could return to use in the kitchen for bread dough or Kougelhopf.
The bowl is made of glazed earthenware, decorated with white undulations on the rim. It is a typical Alsatian piece from Soufflenheim, dating from the early 20th century. The pot is in good condition, with some minor glaze losses to the rim.
