Vintage Myott Staffordshire Chelsea Bird dessert plates featuring colorful exotic birds framed by ornate burgundy and gold scrollwork. This elegant English china set has a richly layered old-world feel with vivid jewel tones, detailed bird motifs, and delicate crazing that adds authentic vintage character. Details:
* Set of eight (8) dessert plates
* Myott Staffordshire England
* Approximately 7 7/8 inches diameter
* Burgundy, gold, cream, and multicolor pheasant motif
* Estimated age: circa 1940s to 1950s
Condition:
No chips or cracks. Minor crazing present throughout consistent with age. Light utensil marks from prior use, including a few visible utensil mark within the burgundy border on one plate. A few plates show minor iridescent discoloration along the edge of the burgundy border likely caused by age and glaze wear. Overall, a beautiful vintage set with rich color and strong display presence.
