Monumental Jean Pouyat Limoges hand-painted scenic amphora vase dating to the late Art Nouveau and Edwardian period, produced in Limoges, France between 1891–1932. This exceptional large-scale porcelain vase features an unusually sculptural silhouette with dramatic applied scroll handles, pedestal base, and richly atmospheric tonal decoration in layered celadon, smoke green, charcoal, and mist hues.
The hand-painted scenic landscape displays softly rendered wildflower and botanical forms with an impressionistic painterly quality that feels remarkably contemporary despite its antique origin. The restrained palette and moody coloration give the piece strong crossover appeal for both traditional antique collectors and modern organic interiors.
Executed on a fine Jean Pouyat Limoges blank and bearing the green underglaze J.P.L France factory mark, this vase embodies the refined decorative arts production associated with turn-of-the-century French porcelain houses. Its monumental scale and sophisticated tonal palette make it an ideal sculptural centerpiece for luxury interiors, designer spaces, or advanced Limoges collections.
A highly decorative and visually commanding statement piece with exceptional presence.
