The … Read more Charming pair of Louis XV inspired twin beds consisting of a painted bedframe complete with headboards, footboards, and rails. The wood frame boasts an antiqued yellow finish with contrasting antiqued white, scalloped edges. The headboards feature gently inward curving sides and woven cane inserts with the same antiqued yellow finish. Side rails sport the scalloped edges matching the head & foot boards ensuring visual interest from every angle.
The curvilinear shapes nestle the occupant in a vaguely cocoon-like shell which is as attractive as it is comfortable. The frame has strong steel angles to support the box frame & mattress. No maker's marks are evident.

Dimensions: overall (each bed), 42.5W x 80"L x 42"H; headboard, 42.5"W x 4"D x 42"H; footboard, 41"W x 1.5"D x 10.5"H; side rails, 1.5"W x 74.75"L x 4.5"H. Fits standard twin mattress.

Condition: structurally sound with strong angle supports for bedding; age-appropriate wear and paint finish loss; small break in caning located upper right on 1 headboard, as shown in detail photo.

Beds will be disassembled for shipping: 2 headboards @ 42.5"W x 4"D x 42"H; 2 footboards, 41"W x 1.5"D x 10.5"H; 4 rails, 74.75"L x1.5"D x 4.5"H.
