Thick, protruding rings enhance the thickness of the legs, which are beneath rectangular joints adorned with concentric circles. In between the joinery is an apron of repeating flutes that tie back to the legs. The center of the apron on the longer sides is embellished with a large rosette inside an oval. It is a robust base, capable of supporting the one and quarter inch thick marble top. A hand-painted parcel finish of light and dark gray pairs wonderfully with the Bardiglio Nuvolato top. The luxurious Italian marble has mesmerizing dark gray and white veining that give the light gray stone a striated look (Nuvolato is Italian for “clouded”). A subtle cavetto carving to the edges and rounded corners of the top enhances the elegance of our Louis XVI-style dining table. It would also make a fantastic center table for a foyer. See less
