This elegant set of 4 chairs exemplify classic Chippendale design, likely high-quality 20th-century vintage reproductions. Key features of each chair include a pierced splat with intricate foliate carvings, a gracefully curved crest rail, and cabriole legs terminating in distinctive ball-and-claw feet.
Crafted from solid mahogany with a rich, dark finish, each chair is upholstered in a peach-sheen damask fabric, complemented by decorative scalloped brass nailhead trim. The knees of the legs showcase highly detailed acanthus leaf carvings, while the back displays finely executed scrollwork. The seat fabric features a consistent, refined pattern. A rare find!
