It has four short metal legs designed to be displayed on the floor as a floor lamp. There is a metal frame on the inside that holds all the clamshells together. I can picture this piece being used to create even more flair as a chandelier but modifications to the hardware would be required to make that happen but it might be worth it. Lamp takes one standard size lightbulb and produces a very warm and ambient light, not designed for brightness. Electrical cord has an On/Off switch. Made in the Philippines. Lamp has a 17" diameter all around. Such a unique and beautiful piece of lighting! See less
