Rare French white glazed terracotta ceramic pig sculpture with glass eyes made in Bavent, Normandy. These 19th C. figurines featured hand painted details and were signed and numbered by the artist.
The Modele Depose and Bavent Normandie imprint on the underside indicates this was produced by the historic Bavent/Mesnil de Bavent, a significant, documented ceramics producer from 1903. Good condition with a fine repair to the left leg.
