Nicely detailed with an open mouth and golden eyes with some minor chips to the base, commensurate with its age. The number 716 impressed in the base probably indicates that this was a maquette for a bronze or larger sculpture. Maquettes are studies the artist makes for larger sculptures. This figure is a work of art in its own right and an impressive figure for an dog lover. See less
