Oil on board portraying oyster gatherers along the Normandy coast, with fishing boats anchored in the shallows and figures in traditional Normandy attire bent to their work. The French tricolor flies proudly from the mast, situating the scene firmly in Frances northern seaboard. Vivid blues and greens capture the maritime light and tidal landscape. Presented in a later silver-toned frame with black and gilt accents.
