The 16 point round medallion of this finely woven Qum urban silk carpet suspends two bold pendants, and is centrally set on a sand ground accented by dark leaves. The corner sections display snaky cloud bands and gently pointed and lobed inner areas. The pellucid sapphire blue border features racemes, acanthoids, winged palmettes and complex palmettes. An opulent and sophisticated piece from a central Persian city renowned for both silk carpets and religious piety. As new condition. See less
