This fantastic pair of vintage folding lounge chairs features a sculptural wood frame with woven black cord seat and back panels. The chairs have a relaxed, low-slung profile with angled backs that create a comfortable lounging position while highlighting the clean architectural lines of the frame. The design draws inspiration from Scandinavian safari and campaign-style lounge chairs of the mid-20th century, known for their portable folding construction and minimalist materials. The linear cord suspension creates a graphic contrast against the warm wood frame while also providing flexible, supportive seating.
The folding construction allows the chairs to collapse flat for storage, making them both functional and visually interesting. Their relaxed silhouette works well in a variety of interiors, from modern and Scandinavian spaces to eclectic or bohemian rooms.
