A Bold, Colorful Cubist Abstract Painting in the Manner of Jacques Villon
Signed and dated lower right: “M. Jardet”
Presented in a striking modern frame.
This vibrant work, rich in color and form, reflects the influence of early 20th-century Cubism, particularly the style of Jacques Villon. The composition is bold and sophisticated, showcasing a confident use of geometric abstraction and dynamic color interplay.
The artist, Marc Jardet, remains somewhat of an enigma in the art world. While little is known about his life, many in the art world have stated that he studied at the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and later resided near Cannes in the south of France. His body of work reveals a remarkable grasp of avant-garde cubist aesthetics, marked by technical skill and creative vision.
A compelling piece for collectors of modernist or abstract art.
