This vintage Turkish Kilim, measuring 5' by 11'3", is handwoven with wool on a wool foundation in the Oushak region of Turkey. Kilims and flatweaves are characterized by their pile-free construction, achieved by tightly interlacing warp and weft threads to create a smooth, flat surface. Typically crafted on horizontal looms, this technique results in sharp geometric patterns.
