This is a 19th-century style ceramic oil pot. The pot has a rounded, somewhat bulbous body with a rich, dark brown glaze that exhibits variations in tone and a slightly uneven texture, indicative of its age and handcrafted nature. It features a prominent spout extending from the side, a sturdy loop handle opposite the spout, and several small, applied lug handles around the upper portion of the body. The rim of the pot is slightly flared and unglazed on the very edge, revealing the underlying light-colored ceramic. The overall aesthetic suggests a functional antique piece with a rustic charm and historical significance.
