Old Chinese hand basket with ancient calligraphy and a lucky coin which can be moved if required.
Made end of the Qing Dynasty from bamboo panels and cane, lacquered and varnished - this is ready for your flower arrangements, towels or other small items that need a home. There seems to be an oval seal near the base rim - see photo.
Signs of previous professional restoration and the handle is 'wonky' which lends to the baskets charm.
The piece is solid and oozes age and charm.
