The dual-tone leather in wine and brown, combined with gold accents, adds a sophisticated and luxurious feel typical of MCM design aesthetics. The use of gold trim and details on sockets indicates an emphasis on elegant yet functional style, which was popular during the mid-century period.
Lion imprint on knob can indicate a connection to British or heraldic motifs. The lion is a common symbol in various historical emblems, ranging from English and Scottish heraldry to other European family crests and manufacturers.
