This is a classic group of Japanese porcelain Imari 8.24” dishes in the classic colors of deep cobalt blue, cinnabar, a touch of jade, and metallic gold on the rim and throughout. They have an embossed chop mark on the backs. Four of the plates are in great condition. The fifth plate has a chip, as seen in the photos.
Deirdre’s Bio:
This comes from the archives of Deirdre Coughlin, founder of Phoebe’s Closet. She specializes in antique textiles and sold them to many New York City Designers including Ralph Lauren (that’s how I know her,) Charlotte Moss, Martha Stewart, and Schumacher, among many others.
