Crafted in Brittany, France, circa 1895, the tall wall-mounted vase, known as a bouquetière, features a gracefully tapered body with a slightly bombé silhouette and an asymmetrical opening designed to hold fresh or dried flowers.

The ceramic surface is entirely hand-painted with colorful floral and foliage motifs in shades of cobalt blue, yellow, green, and orange against a soft white glazed background. Delicate bouquets decorate both the exterior and interior, while fine red geometric borders outline the folded edges. A molded belt encircles the lower body, complete with a raised buckle painted in warm yellow tones, creating a charming trompe-l'œil effect.

The antique wall pocket bears the crossed PB monogram associated with the Porquier-Beau pottery of Quimper, renowned for its richly decorated faience and inventive forms during the late 19th century. The collaboration between the Porquier pottery and artist Alfred Beau produced some of the most distinctive decorative ceramics of the period.

The piece is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, retaining vibrant hand-painted colors and a lustrous glazed finish. An integrated hanging opening on the back allows for easy wall installation.
