This Postmodern Murano glass light fixture by La Murrina features two tiers of cristallo glass shells with amber and white central stripes. Each shell is an individually handblown element, carefully placed and suspended on a chrome frame with a brass top. The burnt orange hues from the amber and brass create a warm and welcoming ambiance.
La Murrina Fornace was a small glass factory on the island of Murano, Italy, founded by a group of master glassblowers in 1968. In 1974, it was acquired by an industrialist family from Milan. Their expertise in combining glass with metal to create light fixtures, paired with the ancient skills of Murano glass-making, allowed La Murrina to innovate within the lighting industry.
This light, meticulously crafted in the Murano tradition, will add a touch of retro charm to your space, making it the perfect centerpiece for creating an inviting atmosphere.

Rewired to the USA, it takes four candelabra-size lights, incandescent or LED. Three feet of wire at the top can be adjusted to the preferred length. This fixture requires a canopy and chain, which are not included and need to be sourced independently. Artisanal; no part is identical. No chips or cracks in the glass. La Murrina hallmark on one of the shells. The metal shows wear; the hooks have rust spots. It is intact and stunning. Please see all the images, especially the close-ups. Ships disassembled. Dimensions without ceiling cover and chain: H=13 in. W=14.5 in. D=14.5 in. 10 lbs.
