Crafted in Italy circa 1950, the substantial planters are hand-carved from natural stone in the neoclassical tradition, featuring a beautifully balanced form inspired by classical Roman garden ornaments.

Each urn stands on a sturdy square pedestal base supporting a rounded, deeply fluted body decorated with bold gadrooned motifs. The wide, flared opening is finished with a thick molded rim, creating a striking contrast with the sculptural curves of the lower bowl. The generous planting cavity features a drainage hole at the bottom for proper water evacuation.

The stone surfaces retain a beautifully weathered patina, with natural variations in warm beige, soft gray, and rusty orange tones acquired through decades of outdoor exposure. Subtle discoloration and surface wear enhance the authentic aged character of these substantial garden ornaments.
