This vintage lithographic poster of "Englishman at … Read more Gorgeous 1970 print after Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's painting "L' Anglais au Moulin Rouge". This vintage lithographic poster of "Englishman at the Moulin Rouge" (1892) was reproduced by Mourlot Master printer Henri Deschamps for an exhibition of the Donald Karshan collection at the New York Cultural Center. Donald Karshan was a curator, an art critic, Director Emeritus of The New York Cultural Center, founder and past director of the Museum of Graphic Arts and a faculty member of The New School for Social Research.

The original lithograph by Toulouse-Lautrec created in 1892 was itself based on a preparatory drawing on cardboard of the same year.

This print is in very good condition with a few creases on the edges due to age and handling. See pictures for details.
