Built in France in the 1800s, the tall, bee-hived shaped structure houses an array of curving shelves, framed by turned balusters and sinuous scrolls. These smooth and serpentine shapes find a striking contrast in the spiked peaks of the backboards. The polished finish of the wood has aged to a luxurious patina, which accentuates the bold silhouette with its dark and silken shine.
