This family of glass artisans started their business in 1854 and were credited with murrines being used in Italian Glass design. This is a very iconic part of Italian Glass making. They make a cane of glass using several different colors, slice and encase them in between the layers of glass. This is extremely labor intensive, time consuming, and requires a master glass artisan to bring this technique to life. This tray/ashtray measures 9”L x 6”W and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks but does have some scratches on the bottom from years of being moved on a table. See less
