Likely Italian, but possibly German origin - 19th century
A pair of finely carved wood figures of Spanish Conquistadors or German Landsknecht. Each modeled in the Renaissance attire with detailed draped clothing, leather boots, swords and impressively done capes. The models are resting on a stepped square base. Each likely held another sword or flag previously.
