A framed advertising mirror for Barton & Guestier, the venerable French vintner established in 1725. The scene, titled “Winter Pruning,” shows a vineyard worker bent close to the vine, the land bare and waiting for spring. Rendered in soft rustic tones, the image carries the patience and devotion of winemaking across centuries.
Set within a gilt wood frame, the mirror recalls the atmosphere of old cafés and taverns, where such pieces hung above the bar as both decoration and quiet advertisement. A vintage object of charm and substance, it celebrates the heritage of French wine.
