Up for sale is an unusual Chinese jardiniere finely painted with 'children-playing' (Ying Xi, 婴戏) motifs in famille-verte (Wucai, five-color) glaze, after the style of the Ming Dynasty with a Jiajing six-character underglaze mark on the base, late 19th or early 20th century, good condition with minor glaze wear and some firing imperfections, originally purchased in Taiwan in early 1960s, private Upper East Side collection
