This east Caucasian, moderately finely woven, good condition scatter combines an ivory ground rosette and diagonal bar border taken from … Read more This east Caucasian, moderately finely woven, good condition scatter combines an ivory ground rosette and diagonal bar border taken from Kuba Chi-Chi rugs, with a dark blue field decorated by a complex ascending pattern of various types of geometric palmettes, and two stick figure men on horseback characteristic of the Alpan Kuba subtype. Birds and animals are mixed into the basic pattern. Extra borders at the ends. A very attractive scatter in good condition with a wool warp and moderately finer weave. See less
