Ceramist of talent, with original production full of finesse, Denise Picard produced from the 1940s poetic ceramic works with the quality of remarkable execution. This “owl” box is a fine example of her work, nicely done and with a nuanced, shiny and lively enamel.
Denise Picard worked with her cousin, the ceramist Paul Pushol, in particular by participating in the Primavera workshops production. She worked in Valauria in the Drôme. The zoomorphic box is in good condition, very nice. It is signed by hand of the initials of the ceramist on the back.
11cm in diameter, 20cm high.
