Created in China during the Midcentury period, this Imari style palace vase features a scalloped top (with an opening of 4" diameter), sitting above an exquisite blue, orange, gold and green décor. On one side, an elegant woman dressed with an ornate flowing robe is holding a fan in her left hand and is gracefully raising her right hand to her face. She is protected under an umbrella carried by her servant. In the distance, a building is surrounded by a mountainous landscape. On another side, an elegant lady is looking backwards at a small carriage supporting a large vase with foliage and flowers.
