Socialite Nancy "Princess" Pyne enlisted Albert Hadley of Parrish-Hadley to decorate her 1929 Cherryfields estate located in New Jersey's horse country. The main living room became one of the most venerated and photographed interiors in the industry since its 1962 inception: the most defining element being the frothy floral chintz adorning the upholstery. Hadley had picked up a sample of a patterned fabric in England, modified it and used it exclusively for the Pyne estate. In 2010 Schumacher approached the Pyne estate about the pattern, allowing it to be introduced to the broader market. The blue roses on a white background colorway is absolutely the best in its class!
