This vintage 4x10 Persian Kilim is believed to be a tribal runner of Karadagh—a mountainous region known for its craft. Handwoven in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960.
Design:
The bold design prefers geometric patterns in polychromatic tones, though it favors rich reds, pinks, oranges and beige-brown tones. Connoisseurs will further admire these saturated, vibrant tones and the pattern’s sense of movement—exemplary of tribal rugs and their personal nature. The look is one of playful, rustic charm, and its versatile size hosts vast design applications today.
Condition:
This mid-century Persian flat weave further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
