1950s diabolo desk lamp, reminiscent of Mathieu Matégot's perforated metal lighting fixtures. Two dark green lacquered perforated metal cones, edged with a twisted border, meet in a brass ring that houses the switch.
The brass gooseneck bends by hand to direct the light onto the work surface or reflect it onto the wall. The lamp rests on a small black lacquered metal tripod base. It uses a single bulb, and the perforated metal allows the light to filter through in tiny points, creating a beautiful effect when lit.
Everything is original. The wiring has been redone, and it's ready to plug in. It would look equally at home on a desk, console table, or bedside table.
