The group comprises: – two Cancer – one Libra – one Capricorn Each zodiac figure is delicately cast and carefully finished, combining the warmth of gilded silver with the richness of natural malachite. The contrast of materials gives these small objects a distinctly luxurious presence. The bases retain their velvet-lined undersides, allowing them to rest safely on fine surfaces. Originally intended as place card holders, they lend themselves equally well as: – desk accessories – decorative paperweights – symbolic collector’s objects – cabinet accents – refined gifts Their unusual combination of precious materials and zodiac symbolism makes them highly decorative as well as collectible.
