It is an iconic piece of italian space age design, born in the years when man had just landed on the moon and designers were bringing space into homes through objects.

the name comes from sirius, the brightest star in the sky. Its shape is a sphere composed of two white plastic shells, joined by two screws. A thin, specially designed slot runs between the two halves. When turned on, the sphere emits a soft, uniform light, while a blade of light emerges from the slot, making it resemble a small planet with its ring.

it is compact and versatile: it looks great on a bedside table, a desk, or a shelf. It can also be used as a wall sconce.
