An exclusive and exceptional set of three "Tris" chairs (also known as the Tronetto model), produced by the renowned and prestigious Italian cabinetmaker Giorgetti in the 1970s. The design is distinguished by a majestic and slender high backrest that reinterprets, in a modernist and geometric key, the rigorous, reticular lines of the famous Viennese Secession chairs and those of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The supporting structure is made entirely of solid black lacquered wood (ebonized), characterized by a dense and fascinating interplay of vertical slats and perforated squares that is mirrored on the lower section of the support frame. The seats retain their original contoured padding and are upholstered in a vintage geometric fabric with a black and white micro-pattern. This modernist set has a striking visual and architectural impact, ideal for complementing dining tables or as a pair or single accent piece in elegant entryways and living rooms.
Measurements:
Height: 116 cm
Width: 46 cm
Depth: 48 cm
Signs of age: The set maintains perfect structural stability and sturdiness. The entire black lacquered wood surface shows widespread signs of wear consistent with its age, with small losses and chipping of the original black paint along the most exposed edges of the backrest and on the feet (as shown in the photos), revealing the natural wood underneath. The seat fabric is structurally sound and free of tears, although it does have a light, normal patina from use, with minimal cleaning marks accumulated over the decades.
