The structure is entirely defined by sinuous and complex steam-bent solid wood elements, which form wide circular armrests and dramatic curlicue and scroll decorations along the rocking base. The seat and high, contoured backrest retain their period padding, finely upholstered in sumptuous bright red satin velvet with a classic damask/worked pattern and trimmed with a row of metal studs around the perimeter. A piece of furniture with immense charm and a warm, retro feel, ideal for completing reading nooks in classic living rooms, enhancing bedrooms, or lending an eclectic and historically significant touch to contemporary interiors.
