Late 19th-century Biscuit Porcelain Centerpiece.
The base features a richly sculpted, three-dimensional decoration depicting putti among animals, including sheep and goats, on a flowery mound. The whole rests on a wide, molded circular base adorned with a frieze of scrolls and volutes. A flared vase with an overhanging rim sits atop the centerpiece.
Good overall condition, no major damage, minor losses as is often the case with this type of piece.
The circular base bears a blue mark from the German manufacturer Volkstedt-Rudolstadt (Thuringia, Germany).
Late 19th-century work.
