Large, low, three-part buffet in flame mahogany, William IV/Regency period, likely dating from 1825-1845.
The piece comprises three distinct sections: a slightly projecting central section flanked by two recessed side sections, each resting on a wide, molded plinth. The front is punctuated by four turned columns with carved Corinthian capitals framing three doors with flame mahogany panels in a bookmatched pattern. The upper cornice features a stepped, fluted profile typical of the British Regency style.
The interior, lined with burgundy velvet, reveals three drawers and several adjustable shelves. The hardware is original brass. The back, made of untreated raw wood planks, confirms the piece's authenticity and its original purpose as a wall cabinet.
The solid mahogany top shows scratches and signs of wear consistent with its age—natural wear and period patina.
