Pair of antique wooden stools with round solid wood seats, slender splayed legs, turned detailing, and stretcher supports. Both retain a warm, beautifully worn finish with visible grain and the irregular surface character that comes from generations of use. The undersides carry handwritten provenance identifying the stools with names, “1900,” and “Syd Shackelford,” adding an interesting documented history to the pair. Their simple utilitarian construction and graceful proportions make them especially well suited to primitive, farmhouse, English country, or collected interiors.
