This is a unique and finely crafted vintage tea caddy, made from rosewood (huali wood) with a rich, warm golden-brown finish.
The cylindrical box features a domed lid centered with a small, vibrant turquoise stone (or enamel) inlay, adding a striking pop of color. The exterior of the body is beautifully engraved with Chinese calligraphy, featuring poetic verses and auspicious phrases. The natural wood grain is clearly visible, and the piece has a smooth, lustrous patina that feels warm to the touch.
The lid fits securely, making it perfect for storing loose tea leaves, or for use as a decorative keepsake box. This piece combines traditional Chinese aesthetics with functional design, making it a lovely addition to a tea collection, desk, or scholar's display.
