A beautiful French hard-paste porcelain coffee pot dating to circa 1820–1830, from the Restoration period.
The elegant baluster-form body is decorated on both sides with different hand-painted architectural landscapes, depicting ochre-toned buildings surrounded by trees and greenery against a white ground.
Fine gold gilding enhances the pointed finial, handle, elongated spout, and neck. The foot, interior of the neck, and circumference of the lid are embellished with delicate gilt bands, complemented by a repeating gilt foliate border around the upper neck.
Unsigned, this refined example may be attributed to either Paris or Limoges.
