This vibrant vintage porcelain vessel is crafted in the classic "stem cup" (gaozubei) form, historically used for wine or tea. The piece is decorated in the Famille Rose (Fencai) style, featuring a bright imperial yellow ground.
The main body is adorned with a dynamic, hand-painted scene of two confronting green dragons flanking a red flaming pearl, surrounded by colorful stylized clouds. A band of turbulent green and white waves borders the lower edge of the cup. The flared, hollow stem base is decorated with repeating, ornate red and purple lappet (ruyi) motifs.
The interior of the cup is finished in a striking, solid turquoise-green glaze, which displays a prominent, intentional crackle pattern. A blue, square six-character apocryphal reign mark is painted on the interior base. The rim is finished with a delicate gold line. This visually striking piece makes a beautiful display on a shelf or as part of a collection.
