This is a striking and highly detailed vintage porcelain vase, crafted in the style of Song Dynasty Jun ware (Junyao). The vase features a classic baluster form with a flared mouth and two intricate, stylized scroll handles applied to the neck.
The glaze is a spectacular "Yao Bian" (transmutation) flambe effect, transitioning from a vibrant, speckled turquoise-blue at the neck to a rich, mottled emerald green and copper-red across the body. The surface is covered in a fine, natural crackle (crazing) pattern. The body is further decorated with intricate, gilt-incised artwork, depicting a scene of two scholarly figures seated at a table with books and tea, accompanied by vertical lines of elegant calligraphy and a red seal mark.
The vase rests on a custom-fitted, dark wood circular display stand. The unglazed base shows a warm, brownish-orange clay body with an impressed square seal. This visually dynamic and richly decorated piece makes a stunning statement in a living room or study.
