A impressive pair of vintage ceramic guardian lions (foo dogs) finished in a glossy, monochrome pale blush pink glaze. Featuring bold, stylized facial features, floppy ears, and intricate mane details, this set includes both classic traditional motifs: the male figure resting his right paw on a sacred ball and the female guarding a playful cub beneath her left paw. Their substantial 13-inch height and clean, tonal color palette make them a versatile accent.
The overall stylized carving—specifically the oversized floppy ears, expressive bull-nose features, and smooth monochrome blush-cream glaze—is characteristic of Mid-Century American ceramic decorative arts and art pottery studios producing stylized Asian revival pieces.
